The LENOX LE-LXAH3158 carbide-tipped hole saw (50X) has a 1-5/8 in (41.3 mm) diameter and high-performance carbide welded to the cutting edge, for drilling wood, steel, stainless steel, cast iron, fiber cement and plaster.

The aggressive 3 TPI tooth design cuts thick material in one pass and the tall body handles 2x dimensional lumber. The patented SPEED SLOT staircase design gives multiple leverage points for easy plug ejection. Maximum cutting depth is 1-7/8 in with a 5/8 in-18 thread; an arbor is required but not included. LENOX rates the blade at up to 50X life versus LENOX bi-metal hole saws cutting cast iron.
