The LENOX LE-1985498 METALMAX diamond cut-off wheel is a 357 mm (14 in) Type 1 wheel, 3.2 mm thick with a 25.4 mm arbor and a 20 mm bush, for cutting steel, rebar and other metals on a cut-off / chop saw.

Instead of a thin bonded abrasive, the wheel uses a diamond edge on a steel body. LENOX rates it for 1,000+ cuts and about 30 times the life of a thin bonded cut-off wheel, and because the diamond edge does not get smaller the cutting depth stays the same throughout its life. It runs on the same machines, at the same RPM and feed force, as the bonded wheels it replaces, up to a maximum of 4,300 RPM — suited to structural steel, pipe and profile cutting.
