The LENOX LE-1985492 is a METALMAX diamond edge cut-off wheel measuring 5 in (125 x 1.2 x 22.2 mm, Type 1 flat), for cutting steel, sheet metal, stainless steel, rebar, cast iron, aluminium and non-ferrous metals with an angle grinder.

The wheel uses a solid steel body with a diamond cutting edge. LENOX rates it at 1,000 or more cuts and 30X longer wheel life than thin bonded cut-off wheels (average performance in 1 in carbon steel square tube). Because the diamond edge does not wear down, the wheel holds its original diameter, so cutting depth and precision stay constant for the whole life of the wheel. It produces less dust and less odour than a bonded abrasive, with sparks coming only from the material being cut. It runs at the same RPM and feed as a bonded abrasive wheel, so no machine settings need changing; maximum speed for the 5 in size is 12,200 RPM.
