The LENOX LE-1985009 METALMAX diamond cut-off wheel is a 100 mm (4 in) diamond-edged wheel, 1.3 mm thick with a 16 mm arbor hole, for 100 mm angle grinders. It cuts steel, sheet metal, stainless steel, rebar, cast iron, aluminium and non-ferrous metals.

The wheel pairs a steel body with a diamond cutting edge in a Type 1 flat profile rated to 15,200 RPM. Because the diamond edge does not wear down the way a thin bonded abrasive wheel does, cutting depth stays constant for the whole life of the wheel, with less dust and odour and sparks coming only from the material being cut. It runs at the same speed and feed force as a bonded wheel, so no machine setting has to be changed. Typical users are metal fabricators, steel erectors, plumbers and maintenance crews; when cutting aluminium, apply cutting wax or a saw lubricant to avoid chip welding.
