The LENOX LE-1985008 METALMAX diamond cut-off wheel is 75 mm in diameter and 1.3 mm thick, with a 9.53 mm arbor that can be adapted to 1/4 in (6.35 mm). It is a Type 1 flat cut-off wheel for die grinders, used to cut steel, stainless steel, rebar, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals.

The wheel pairs a solid steel body with a diamond edge, so — unlike a thin bonded abrasive wheel — it does not get smaller in use and the cutting depth and precision stay consistent. LENOX rates it at 1,000+ cuts on average, about 30 times the life of a thin bonded cut-off wheel. Maximum speed is 20,300 RPM, and it runs in the same tools, at the same RPMs and feed forces, as a bonded abrasive wheel with no change to machine settings; when cutting aluminum, LENOX recommends cutting wax or a saw lubricant to avoid chip welding.
