The LENOX LE-1779669 quick-change pilot drill (5L) is the arbor for LENOX hole saws — the pilot drill locates and drills the guide hole, then the arbor drives the hole saw. It has a 3/8 in (9.5 mm) solid hex shank and fits LENOX hole saws in sizes 9L–19L.

The arbor uses a pin design instead of conventional threads, so the threads cannot strip and the hole saw will not lock onto the arbor. No adaptor is needed — the standard arbor threads screw directly into the hole saw. The SPEED SLOT® staircase design makes plug ejection easier, and no tools are needed to mount or remove the hole saw.
