The CHESCO CH-T309RS-9FJ automatic welder's grip locking pliers (9 in / 225 mm, factory model T309RS) are a self-adjusting clamping tool made in Taiwan for welding set-up, metal fabrication, sheet-metal work and workshop maintenance.

The patented automatic locking mechanism sets the jaw opening to the thickness of the workpiece, so there is no thumb screw to turn — just squeeze the handle to clamp and lock, then pull the release lever up to loosen and move straight on to the next workpiece. The pressure setting knob adjusts the clamping force to suit the job. Jaws are made of chrome vanadium alloy steel with a smooth, serrated-free face that holds the work firmly without harming its surface; the 90-degree bent upper lip clamps awkward or angled metal in proper alignment, and the U-shaped jaws give greater visibility and more working space. The handles are high-carbon steel with a nickel-plated finish.
