The CHESCO CH-309ASI long-nose locking pliers (9 in / 225 mm) are a Taiwanese-made locking plier with a needle-nose jaw for clamping and holding in tight spaces. They work as a wrench for loosening or tightening bolts, hex screws and nuts, and for holding parts, twisting metal, removing stripped screws and cutting wire.
Jaws and handles are made from chrome-molybdenum (CR-MO) steel with a nickel-plated finish. Squeeze the handles to lock the jaws and press the release lever to open them. The knurled pressure adjustment knob sets jaw opening and clamping force — turn it in to increase pressure and reduce the opening, turn it out for the opposite; the spring is high-carbon steel. Maximum jaw opening is 70 mm and a built-in wire cutter cuts wire, making the pliers suitable for metal fabrication, welding, electrical work and workshop maintenance.
