The CHESCO CH-307ASI locking pliers (7 in / 175 mm, also designated 7WR) are a Taiwanese-made US-style curved-jaw locking plier for clamping and holding workpieces. They also work as a wrench for loosening or tightening bolts, hex nuts and screws, or for cutting wire, and are used in metal fabrication, automotive repair, welding and workshop maintenance.
The serrated curved jaw opens to 41 mm and bites round pipe, angle iron, bolts, nuts and steel plate as well as irregular workpieces. The jaw head is made of chrome-molybdenum steel (Cr-Mo) and induction-hardened for a durable, consistent grip. The US-style handle locks by squeezing and releases by pressing the lever; the knurled pressure-adjusting knob at the tail turns even with gloves on to set jaw opening and clamping force. A high-carbon steel spring withstands repeated loading while staying elastic. This is not an insulated tool.
